a moment.

to sum it all up. exams are over, new workload is coming, jlpt's struggling and... and... oh well. shoes done very long ago. terrible lighting, but its the gritty effect which took me some time to like. and look at those paper backings... cheery shoes though =)

shoe.

I have absolutely no idea how to upload my images in an orderly sequence, so bear with this for the time being.
I did this last week for my japanese cousin, who came over for a one week holiday with her boyfriend and mother. Insipred by her favourite brand Anna Sui. Materials: fabric liner, acrylic, textile paint (water based, but waterproof after drying. cool huh?). Got the textile paint for an event long time ago at artfriend, but they aint selling it there anymore. So i got quite a limited paint stock. Took me 10 hours, spamming 3 days. I finished painting the whole thing 30mins before my cousin woke up to get ready to leavefor changi airport (departure).. all at 3am in the morning.
But i am super sastisfied with my work. it's my first attempt too. =)
I think i am gonna do a few more shoes for my friends. Heh. But i am up for commissions too. Drop me a mail/sms/comment and i will get back to you.
OKAY BACK TO TODAY'S EVENT.
Earlier i went to changi's aloha for yeeming's wedding (rom). What's cool - it's my first time attending a friend's wedding (you know you are getting slightly older once you get such invitations. everyone's growing up!)! But he's 29, so yeah. I helped in the designing of his wedding invtation cards by contributing a few doodles. In return i get a nice dinner and a scenic view of the sea from the balcony of his chalet (one BIG chalet with double storey, 5 rooms over a superb cliff). Haha... it's pretty romantic, the way gentle glowing torches surround the backyard. Sigh. Okay let's talk about the wedding cake - lychee martini from pine garden!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Two tiered cake with a loose trail of sugared violets and rose petals!!! Yeeming was nice enough to cut one THICK slice for me - sponge spreaded thickly with lightly scented lychee liqour cream and stuffed with juicy bits of lychee. verdict: my type of cake. not too boozy, and taste delightfully tropical and refreshing. ahhh... love is truely in the air. =p

i let it all out today.

just sat down and cried.

cold cruel world.

my musing: 2007, a year of newfound freedom where i am free of schoolwork and school responsibilities. But now i have a job as an asst coach... as well as a coaching course and jap lessons. Say hello to new responsibilities... and to the cold cruel world outside (where i was gently coaxed out of the sweet comforts of my home).
Of course i am slightly worried of this newfound freedom: no fixed wakeup call, running around all day. One gets pretty jittery sometimes when things are going well.
But for all we know, i might just be over-reacting. Maybe it ain't so bad afterall.
Maybe. Just maybe. Welcome to the the cold cruel world outside, where i have yet to experience. =p (drawings done: wee hours + running fever = pretty high)
