happy post boxing day.

I would have preferred "Happy Post-Xmas!" to "Happy Boxing Day!" for it's obvious relevance yesterday, and since i jolly well can't say "Happy Post-Post-Xmas!" today, and there's definately no title bestowed to it, i would just call it "Happy Post-Boxing Day!".
Christmas itself was a not-too-glitzy but still very much treasured event, as i had spent one whole xmas eve evening with the bestest friends which i can ever get, held at the usual place (sean's). But before that, might i just mention that i also had a light dinner at my house, where my mom was also holding a xmas celebration with a fusion of Jap-Western fare: Sushi and various salads. Not forgetting the wonderful stuff she had so painstakingly baked - Mince pies, pumpkim pie (which i took), lemon cream and the traditional fruit cake (bleh). I managed to grab a few bites before grabbing all my presents and having my uncle drove me over to sean's place.
Oh my god!! Now it's time for the real dinner to start! Sean's dad is a whiz at cooking, and he had whipped up a fantastic apricot-rice stuffed turkey, mushroom soup, potato celery salad, cocktail stciks, beef log and not forgetting all those sugary goodness which they brought back from Aussie! I don't see why sean is saying that my mom's fantastic, i think HIS dad is superb as well! Lol! Also, i had slightly regretted my suggestion of having one round of taiwan heart attack, though fun, it was tiresome to play for almost 1hour nonstop! *sigh* i can actually feel the progression going slower as the game dragged on... oops, sorry guys! Maybe we should cut down on the cards? haha, oh yeah! Mom's pumpkim pie was heavenly! I swear i am going to learn how to bake that killer pie no matter what! Hmmz, but she made another pie the next day, with fillo crust as the base instead!! And it was oh-my-god!!! Damn damn, the pie's going to be forever in my top ten list of classic desserts... Mmmm.
Well, there wasnt much to do after the long card game, and after sean's rj friends left for their church mass, we headed into sean's room to watch and swoon over the amazing digital effects of Advent Children. Cloud's bike is my main interest as usual, followed by vincent and yazoo. But it is all the while more enjoyable watching the whole movie with your friends instead of huddling alone in the corner of the living room in the middle of the night, with your eyes glued to the glaring lcd screen, no screaming in excitement cause your parents (and neighbours) are sleeping. Haha! WE were all so into the show that we forgot the countdown to christmas, and when jeff called to wish all of us a merry christmas, we only gave him a mere "Yep, Merry Christmas to you too!!! And can we put down the phone now? Cloud's just about to finish kadaj when he turned into Seph!!! Bye!!". Haha!!! I feel so guilty now when he specially called us... but you can't deny that it was funny. =)
Haha, the movie lasted til 0015, and then we all decided to head home. Thanks again for such a nice christmas sean!!! Sometimes i hope that this annual gathering won't stop, but then again we will be super busy next yr, and you guys will be starting ns, and then we might be going out seperate ways. But do remember, there's nothing which can prevent us from meeting unless we don't believe in ourselves. *hugs* Love you guys! Yes, even you jeff, who NEVER turns up for anything!! And of course, Hew, because you are always here with us. =p
