sweet xmas.

23rd:
My xmas eve's eve was spent with my maternal family, over at my house. Mum prepared the desserts, which was lovely as usual. Apple pie smothered in snow white icing and drizzled with passionfruit syrup, marbled muffins and of course, the pumpkin pie. Aside there was prawn and avocado salad as well as cream potato soup (not out from campbell mind you! Pure cream and potatoes and loads of hard work!). Well, the rest were from my aunts... and i got to mention the fantastic onde-onde they made!!!!!!!! the dull orange skin really had the sweet potato aroma!! And sweet brown syrup literally burst into my mouth when i bit into them!!! OMG i really must learn how to make them!! And who can forget the traditional xmas ham? Honey-glazed baked ham... =)
24th:
Watched deathnote with ys and sh, and it was passable... not fantastic as i prefer the manga (who doesnt?). More characters, deeper plot and a surprising ending. seriously, read the manga and collect the anime.
Meanwhile, dinner was spent at sean's hse (as usual). And his dad did the usual mushroom soup, steak and turkey. But there were some pretty interesting stuff! Like egg and tuna dips as well as the lovely mango salad/dip. Oh! And guess the salad - prawn and avocado!!!! Haha, great chefs think alike!! Sean arrived at 10+ and we had a good time listening to his 9-days experience in camp, that poor guy. Oh well, it will be another 4 more days before you get to come back for new yr anyway! =) Returned home at ard 2am feeling dead beat.
25th:
Ahh... xmas. A good morning with hearty breakfast, washed down with nice earl grey. Then it is off to help out in the preparation for txy's party! Well, it was raining... and i had to carry bags of stuff (god know what) while getting soaked. Food was okay, people were great, cards rules!!!
It was a good xmas. happy bdae cecelia!
26th:
Boxing day! Met mk up for lunch at menotti (thanks sean) and watched curse of the golden flower. Go watch it!!! ZhangYimou really outdone himself this time! There was gold in every scene and of course, gongli. =) Alot of details and i applaud him for that! But the storyline is STILL lacking, though it is his best attempt so far! I will say go for the oscars man! (Best costumes/picture).

Now this was how i spent my past few days.
