national museum again.

day out with yanchen yesterday. i missed her. =)
had lunch at waraku which apparently went through a menu revamp, and i was slightly disappointed at the new selection. there isnt much cold udon dishes now, which i practically survived on whenever i head over there. the waraku bukakke is fantastic, yet it's been removed from the new menu. but on the plus note, there's more sushi selection.
over lunch, i found out that once you hit a deer in michigan, you just give the governor a call, and you will get to bring the roadkill home. ha... interesting lunch conversation.
we walked around later, from heeren to the national museum of singapore. we bought umbrellas on the way as the sky looked dark~ long walk under the hot sun, but most enjoyable catching up time.
As for national museum, i meant to show yanchen the lacroix collection, but i forgot we had to pay. so we decied to look at the other exhibitions before the free entrance timing. and cleared everything, until the last gallery where we got stopped by the gallery minders. here's how the conversation went:

him: sorry i would like to see your stickers.
us: ?
him: yep you need to pay to enter the galleries.
us: -???- really
him: err... yeah.
us: oh
him: -paused- have the both of you visited the other galleries?
us: yep this is the last one
him: -paused thoughtfully- oh
us: ...
him: -paused, reached into his pocket- right... here's what you do. you stick these on, and go ahead exploring
us: ... =)
him: and you can vsit the history gallery. bet you didnt get to sneak into that. go ahead.

it was a good day. but it was a first realiazation for me as i have never paid for a single trip to the museum...at all. and i have been there more than 10 times.. hmm. it was about time haha.
what initially started off as an hour trip turned into a 4 hour history gallery experience. and when we were done with it and thought hey why not head over to the lacroix exhibition now since we got free passes...and found out that it closed 30mins ago. darn. still cant beat free museum passes though.

after that i headed down alone to wanling's 21st. dear girl we have been friends for eight years!!!!!! from classmates, to shooting teammates and hostel roommates! whoa... and of course a real awesome friend. i am still '...' at the time span and how much we have all grown. nice. you rock girlfriend.

outing with two girlfriends. wow. i am meeting yanchen soon again. she insists that i should have a picnic on top of adm. i miss her spirit! haha.
