and the curtain finally falls.

i didnt get the feeling until the very end. when everyone started taking photos.

one moment i was 'ITS OVER!!!!' Next moment it was 'wow. its over.' and finally it ended up with 'this is my last event'

i guess to me, qm is a first experience in organizing an event which i have not much affinity to, as i do not listen to chinese songs and i have no idea how to start, and since its the last qm, i only wanted it to go smoothly and give it a big final send off. But i didnt know how much it meant to the participants.

until when i read all the notes they tagged me in. they were really touching and i teared reading all of them. i guess i didnt realise that it was not just another annual singing competition, but something people held so much attachments to, something that might have spurred them to get involved in other music-related events and the friendships they forged during the competition.

thank you yuneng, huifoon, yongchuan, huiying, beechoo, billy, tangjie, jingyang and zhiyao for being awesome participants, for being patient with my much delayed finals and making time for this event. You brought along so many supporters which gave life to the whole auditorium. you guys rock the stage~

thank you cec and dianjun for being the most awesome pair of emcees to date. you guys never fail to impress and even though i only have a rough schedule plan for that day, you guys made it look seamless. And of course for handling my participants!

thank you my committee - pocheng, xianhui, xingdan, xiaoya, meiwei, huijun, renyuan and haonan. i tried my best to make things as easy for you guys, and wow, we are the last committee for qm. i am just really grateful for you guys, doing all those behind the scene work and catering to my wreck schedules. hugs to you guys! not forgetting the people who were not in the committee, yet helped out with the packaging, cd burning, paper cutting. if it wasnt for you, we would not have made it in time for the whole event.

thank you dancers - kelvin, pocheng, xiaomo and of course weisheng. dope performance which closes the whole qm, and what else better express that than a standing, cheering crowd?! and you guys managed to choreograph such a performance despite your exam week, just wow.

thank you group leaders for bringing so many people to the event!

and of course, thanks to two very important people - cec and yuneng, for guiding a rather -initially very- reluctant me throughout the whole planning process. I was quite off to a slow start and you two worked hard to kick me back into action. For that, i am eternally grateful. =) being the previous organizers, i learnt a great load from you two and you both really inspired me to get moving on (thats when i told myself i must make this last qm the best one ever).

i understand it now. thank you for allowing me to be part of this.
